A Webinar Series with Dr. Avedis Panajian
From September 2019 to May 2020, the Center for Object Relations will proudly host a monthly webinar focusing on the psychoanalytic assessment and treatment of psychotic, psychosomatic, and personality disorders. The webinar will be led by psychoanalyst Avedis Panajian, Ph.D. ABPP, an internationally recognized expert in the field of psychoanalytic assessment and treatment. Over the course of nine 90-minute meetings, Dr. Panajian will explore psychoanalytic approaches to the case conceptualization, theoretical understanding, and clinical approaches to the severe mental disorders mentioned above. He will rely on his extensive clinical and theoretical knowledge, as well as case histories from his nearly 45 years of psychoanalytic practice, to illustrate effective ways to treat severe mental disorders in their conscious and unconscious dimensions, and demonstrate how therapists can utilize their emotional responses to facilitate therapeutic work with treatment-resistant patients possessing severe psychopathologies.
