I will explore the issue of time in relation to psychoanalytic therapy, especially related to psychological and therapeutic growth. Clinical material will be discussed to help illustrate how time is necessary for ego development, anxiety tolerance, and coming into an honest depressive position. Various other issues will be considered, including the relationship of time to grief and loss, and the relationship of time with what Freud termed the “reality principle.”

About the Presenters
Pteter Hopkins, MA, LMHCreceived a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School and has been involved with COR for the past number of years, currently serving on the board of directors and as secretary. He has a private practice in Seattle with adults and adolescents.
Terry Hanson has been involved in both COR and the Northwest Alliance for many years and has served as the Alliance President. He has his practice in Seattle.

REFUND POLICY
Missed classes, seminars, events are not eligible for partial refunds. Cancellations made more than 30 days prior to the first class are eligible for a full refund, less a $50 cancellation fee. Cancellations made less than 30 days in advance of the first session are nonrefundable and non-transferable unless COR is able to fill your spot with another registrant. Cancellations made on or after the start of the first session are 100% non-refundable and nontransferable. In the event of an emergency, each situation will be considered.
INSTALLMENT PLANS
For purchasing an installment plan, a “Free Trial” means there will be a delay of the charge until class begins. The sign up fee is an initial charge to secure your place within the class.
