About the Presenter

Christopher Keats, MD, after psychiatric residency at the University of Rochester, began work at Chestnut Lodge in Rockville, Maryland, and completed analytic training at the Washington Psychoanalytic Institute. When Dr. Keats arrived at Chestnut Lodge, Harold Searles was no longer at the hospital, though he continued to supervise some of the staff. Dr. Keats served as therapist, unit administrator, and later director of psychotherapy at the Lodge. He also had a private practice of psychiatry and psychoanalysis, which he has continued at his office in Bellevue since his move to this area in 2014. He is currently on the faculty at SPSI, where he is a Consulting Analyst, and he is a full member of NPSI.
