This presentation will engage the elements of non-verbal communication through art, affect, and the patient’s presence-in-space in working with sexual trauma. A clinical case will be presented and a dialogue will explore the context of internal object formation that is being communicated between patient and therapist. This presentation will begin to address the complexity and issues that arise in non-verbal dialogue, and the immediacy of countertransference as a map for forming a therapeutic relationship.

About the Presenter and Discussant
Chris Moseman, MA, LMHC is a psychotherapist in private practice in Tacoma and Seattle. He practices mainly from a psychoanalytically-informed perspective in work with adults and children. His prior background has included work within psychiatric hospitals, as a practicum facilitator at The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology, and work within a wilderness therapy setting. He is currently the Chair of the Technology Committee with COR, and a COR board member.
Joanne della Penta ART-BC, LMHC, is currently in her fourth year of analytic training at SPSI. She began private practice in 2005 moving to full time in 2014. Her practice is in Madison Park where she sees adolescents and adults. She began as an art therapist at Fairfax Hospital in 1998. She has a certificate in British Object Relations from COR (from when COR gave certificates), and is a practicing artist and dog lover.

REFUND POLICY
Missed classes, seminars, events are not eligible for partial refunds. Cancellations made more than 30 days prior to the first class are eligible for a full refund, less a $50 cancellation fee. Cancellations made less than 30 days in advance of the first session are nonrefundable and non-transferable unless COR is able to fill your spot with another registrant. Cancellations made on or after the start of the first session are 100% non-refundable and nontransferable. In the event of an emergency, each situation will be considered.
INSTALLMENT PLANS
For purchasing an installment plan, a “Free Trial” means there will be a delay of the charge until class begins. The sign up fee is an initial charge to secure your place within the class.
